Get help
Email is the fastest way to reach the developer, and it is answered within one business day. Please say which phone you use, iPhone or Android, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
You can also write from inside the app, under More → Send feedback. That fills in your app version, operating system version and phone model for you, and includes nothing about your tenants or your money.
Common questions
Do I need an account or internet?
No. RentMate has no account and no server. Every record lives in the app's private storage on your phone, and it works with no signal at all, on both iPhone and Android.
How is rent charged?
Set the monthly rent and the due day once, on the lease. RentMate creates each period's rent charge by itself, prorates a tenant's first and last month, and never charges the same period twice.
A tenant paid only part of what they owe.
Record the amount they actually handed you. RentMate applies it to the oldest unpaid charge first and leaves the rest as a balance. Pay more than the balance and the extra is kept as a credit for the next charge.
I charged the wrong amount.
Open the tenant's ledger and tap the charge to change its amount or waive it. A rent charge offers the full month's rent in one tap, which helps when a first month was charged by the day. Nothing financial is ever deleted: a payment recorded by mistake is voided and stays on the record.
What does RentMate PRO include, and is it a subscription?
It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, sold through Google Play on Android and through the App Store on iPhone. It removes the free plan's limits of 1 property, 5 units and 3 active tenants, and unlocks utility meter billing, expenses, the deposit ledger, full reports with CSV export, backup and restore, and the app lock. Launch price ₱499 for the first three months, ₱999 after that.
How do I move to a new phone?
More → Backup & restore → Create backup, keep the file somewhere safe, then Restore it on the new phone. Your records are only on your phone, so a backup is the only copy that exists. Make one after any busy month.
Are the receipts official BIR receipts?
No. They are proof that you received a payment. If your rental income requires government-registered official receipts, issue those separately. RentMate keeps records; it does not compute or file taxes.
What do I need to run RentMate?
On Android, any phone running Android 7 or newer, including budget handsets. On iPhone, a device running a current version of iOS. No high-end hardware is required on either platform.
